UV Resin?
Hey all,
Looking into getting a UV kit, any suggestions on brand? The primary use would be for eyes and heads on saltwater flies.
Thanks
Peter

Hi Peter,
I bought a simple Loon kit with three different bottles for thick, thin and flow and it also came with different applicators and a penlight size UV source. You could experiment with it to see what you like.

I like this stuff. I often use the thin and hard for streamers.
I think the kits might be overpriced. I bought pieces. Solarez herd head, bug bond in a larger size for general use and then a UV flashlight. It works fine, but I use it way less than I expected. I use fabric fusion more.

I ended up buying an inexpensive kit from Solarez. It was less then $35 for a tube each of thin hard, thick hard and thin flex with a light. The light is a little small, maybe underpowered, but still works really well. Tying some ghost shrimp with it right now. I definitely like it better then superglue and head cement, but dont think I will use it a lot. I think the kit I got is prefect for the amount of tying I do.
