FFIM: 2003 Year in Review

It's been a great year here for FFIM, marking our growth in numbers and credibility with the success of the Moosehead Conclave last June. Through the support of all of you, and the success of the raffle and other events, we were able to raise a significant donation to Maine TU Youth Programs, and the Saco River Salmon Club. OldGuide came to Maine and fell in love with our beautiful state, and many old friendships were re-kindled while new ones were formed. 2003 also marks the year where FFIM is becoming more and more active in various fisheries issues around the state. We are taking an active role in the "Save the Rapid" efforts and look forward to forging healthy relationships with CCA (underway) and TU, among other organizations in the state. Our "new" mission, to promote, protect and preserve Maine's fisheries, will guide us as we strive do the best we can to help fight the good fight for our fisheries. As we look forward to 2004 and the Rangeley Conclave in June, many exciting adventures await us!

Some of the "hot topics" from the past year:

#1) Help Preserve the Rapid River Brook Trout
#2) Should RESTORE buy G.N.P?
#3) Who are you?
#4) Would anyone pay extra for a trout stamp?
#5) Spillin the beans
#6) I have made the plunge
#7) Wait 'Til Next Year
#8) RESTORE
#9) bamboo rod mini conclave?????
#10) Sea - Run Brookies

Cheers to a Happy and Healthy New Year, and Tight Lines for all in 2004!
