Maine's Rapid River is in danger. Non-native smallmouth bass were illegally introduced into the watershed in Umbagog Lake over 10 years ago. The bass are now moving their way up into the Rapid River and Pond-in-the-River at an alarming rate, threatening the vitality of the native trout. Please check back soon for more information on how you can help to preserve and protect the home of one of the last self-sustaining populations of large wild brook trout in the United States.
