Book Review: North of Easie
North of Easie is the latest fly fishing novel from
author Robert Romano, who previously brought us "Shadows in the Stream".
Set in the Western Mountains of Maine, this work of fiction weaves complex
interpersonal relationships and past personal tribulations set amongst the
ficticious town of Easie -- nestled next to Rangeley, Maine. Fly fishing
is a way of life that forms a connection and a bond between the main
characters including an old school Maine Guide and a woman looking to
escape a troubled past. You'll read of familiar places of Western
Mountain fly fishing lore as this page-turning story unfolds.
Highly recommended for passing the cold nights of winter, with thoughts
looking toward Spring fishing, this book is available through Birch Brook
Press (www.birchbookpress.info) and
Amazon (www.amazon.com).
Additionally, Bob will be at the "Fly Fishing
Show" this coming weekend (January 15th-17th) in Marlborough, MA --
where you can stop in, pick up a copy, and have it signed by the author.
If you have a special connection to Rangeley, this book is a must have.
If you just plain enjoy fly fishing stories, pick it up -- I'm sure you'll
enjoy the read.
