Any day on a stream is a great day. I will try and share a great day and a little knowledge with you on the stream. We will be discussing many things from leaders, lines, rods and flies to different ways of fishing and using these instruments of fly fishing. I will go through all of these things and give you reasons why I use them as I do. I will cover Nymphs, Emerger's, Dries, Midges and Streamers. We will fish together and I will help each of you with your casting, presentation and reading the water. We will also look at the different insects on the stream, the fly patterns that match them and how we should fish these patterns. As streamers are very important in Maine I will also demonstrate how I fish streamer patterns in different types of water and explain why I change presentations for different areas of a river. This class will run from the time we get to the stream until you are tired or it is to dark to fish. I expect everyone to ask questions and will try and answer them to the best of my ability. The main thing is that we all have fun. I learn something new every time I go fishing. I will enjoy spending a great day on the stream with all of you. I hope that you will join me as there is no better place to make a new friend than on a stream. The OldGuide
