2002 Fall FFIM Conclave - Sept 14-15

Mark Preble with a nice Salmon from Upper Dam PoolMembers of the FlyFishingInMaine.com community held the fall 2002 "casual" fishing conclave last weekend, in Rangeley, ME. Brian Foley provided the following write-up and photo on the forums. Thanks Brian!

Mickey Haas, Brian Goldberg, Dustin Strand and Mark Preble showed up and I couldn't have asked for a better bunch to share a camp fire with - Brian and Mickey both had good luck at the Rapid and Upper Dam Dustin and Mark watched monsterous salmon jumping all over the Steep Bank Pool on the Kennebago but the catching was slow - I fished the Mid/Upper Kennebago on Sat and got a bunch of small salmon and trout - consensus was that the big fish hadn't made it that far upstream yet - On Sun Mark, Dustin and I went over to Upper Dam and fished in the rain - Mark and Dustin caught a couple of salmon and I landed a real fine chub - Brian and Mickey fished the Magalloway and we haven't heard from them, but they mentioned that it had been fishing well lately - it was a great get together - I'm sorry it was so short!
