Come out this June 17-19 and join anglers from throughout the country at the 3rd annual FFIM spring conclave in the Mid-Penobscot region of the Maine. The West Branch of the Penobscot River is famed as one of the finest landlocked salmon rivers in the world, flowing swiftly with rapids up to class V in the shadows of Mt. Katahdin.

    Friday Evening:

  • Foley Smelt-eating Show

    Saturday:
  • Early morning coffee and baked goods, courtesy of Big Eddy and Susan!
  • Early AM Fishing!!!
  • 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM - Tyer's Open House (inc. Duane Vigue aka "Big Vig" tying, and Al Hubbard aka "Dryflie" doing furled leader demos)
  • 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM - "Save the Rapid" update by Jeff Reardon from TU
  • 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM - Presentation and Q&A by Matt Libby from Libby Camps. Matt will talk to us about fishing the County and Labrador. Check out their website Libby Camps
  • 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM - A discussion with the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife. Tentative topic: Salmon, Smelt and Chesuncook Lake
  • 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM - Silent Auction & Raffle
  • 9:00 PM - ??? - Lying, cigar smoking, drinking around the big fire!

    Sunday:
  • Early AM - Fishing!!!
