    R W Brown - (aka: "OldGuide") of Livingston, MT has been a Fly Fishing outfitter and guide for more than 35 years. He was a fly tying consultant with one of the largest fly fishing retail and wholesale business in the country for more than 9 years. He also tied the flies for the movie "A River Runs Through It". He has done many fly fishing shows across the west, midwest and Canada. Mr. Brown does shows and classes on fly tying and fly casting. He is known as one of the best all around fly tyers in the country, tying every type and style of fly. Mr. Brown was ACA Registered for a number of years and has given many casting clinics and casting demonstrations.


    James R. Babb was born and raised in the mountains of East Tennessee. In 1972 he moved to Maine, and he is currently Editor and Angling Columnist for Grayıs Sporting Journal, best described as a cross between The New Yorker and Field & Stream and widely regarded as North Americaıs most prestigious outdoors publication.

    Library Journal called Crosscurrents: A Fly Fisher's Progress, his collection of fly-fishing stories published in 1999 by The Lyons Press, "the best fly fishing book of the year." His most recent book is River Music: A Fly Fisher's Four Seasons, published by The Lyons Press in 2001, about which Publishers Weekly said, "Babb has successfully carved out a niche, alongside Norman Maclean, as a superior fly-fishing writer, and moreover as a keen observer of human comedy."
