Bamboo rod making equipment - see it in action at the Conclave!

Bamboo rod maker David Van Burgel is a regular speaker at the Marlborough Fly Fishing Show as well serving on the staff at the Danbury Fly Fishing University. He has twice been chosen to participate in the Grayrock Makers' Rod national fundraiser, as well as rods for the National Convention of Trout Unlimited, Kennebec Valley Trout Unlimited, and other efforts. David is a rod making instructor at the Catskill Fly Fishing Center and Museum, Livingston, New York.

Scott Chase has been building flyrods for about 20 years and out of bamboo for about 6. He is a Family Physician and lives and works in Scarborough. In the past, Scott has made and donated his bamboo fly rods to benefit such organizations as The Barbara Bush Children's Hospital and the Sebago Chapter of Trout Unlimited. His wife's name is Marcia and they have two young children at home, Erich and Anna. Although they are only 2 and 4 years old, they both have their own "Chase" bamboo flyrods.
