Sea Run Brook Trout Tagging Study and other FFIM Grassroots Grants recipients

Come out June 20-22, 2008 and join anglers from throughout Maine and New England at the 6th annual FFIM spring conclave at the West Branch of the Penoscot River. The "West Branch" is located about 45 minutes from Millinocket, and is famous for its roaring rapids and powerful landlocked salmon. There are also numerous trout ponds within a short drive, abundant wildlife and rugged, remote terrain. If you've never ventured up along the "Golden Road", you don't know what your missing. So come along and join us. The "event" is open to the public and will combine the opportunity to learn how to fly fish for those newcomers, meet some wonderful people, and have a lot of fun!

This year, we are planning many activities. Please check back soon for more details.

  • Coming Soon

If you want to learn to fly fish or tie flies, learn about and see some bamboo and their makers, try out some new equipment, meet other like-minded fisher-folks, or just hang out and fish, come on down and bring a friend or two. This is the event of the year not to be missed.
